That's exactly what the neo-cons and McSame believe - if we can win in Iraq than we can forget our humiliation in Vietnam. After all, in both wars we're basically attacking either farmers (Vietnam) or goat-herders (Iraq.)

People like Cheney and Rumsfeld are still smarting over Vietnam, which is one of the reasons they wish to "re-make the Middle East." If they had their way, (and the support of the American people,) Iran and Syria would be next on the list.

(BTW - I know "Rummy" is out of the picture, but he helped start this madness.)
