As an update on this morning, apparently I'm not the only one who thinks it's dangerous to let your running mate rant about your opponent's pot while you're busy polishing your kettle.

Let's compare: sat on same Charitable Board as reformed ex-con, 20 years after the fact, and had no involvement at all with the original crimes.

vs.

Actively involved in biggest banking scandal until this one, took over $100,000 in gifts / donations, investigated by Senate Ethics Committee, actions directly contributed to $100+bn taxpayer loss.

Yeah. Real smart move to play the Ayers card.

The connection with Keating is, I would think, especially dangerous today as the Dow continues to drop after Congress wrote a $700,000,000,000 check on Friday.
